QUALIFICATIONS OF THE GRADUATE/GRADUATE PROFILE


Bachelor’s course (after completing a full-time bachelor’s course, first cycle studies)

Field of study: Arts Education in Music

Field of specialization – Music Education with English
The graduate possess the skills of a qualified musician, teacher of music and cultural animation in music as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of teaching: general music classes in music schools of the first degree, general music classes in kindergartens and schools (including junior secondary school), music appreciation classes in kindergartens and non-school educational facilities; the graduate can lead vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental ensembles in amateur music movement as well as perform music activities in cultural institutions and music-cultural animation in society. Also, the graduate of Music Education with English is capable of teaching classes and performing activities mentioned above in English, with special emphasis on integrated teaching of music with elements of English in kindergartens and early primary school (grades 1-3 of primary school).

Field of specialization: Choral Conducting
The graduate possess the skills of a qualified musician, teacher of music and cultural animation in music as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of teaching: general music classes in music schools of the first degree, general music classes in kindergartens and schools (including junior secondary school), music appreciation classes in kindergartens and non-school educational facilities; the graduate can lead vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental ensembles in music schools of the first degree and in amateur music movement as well as perform music activities in cultural institutions and music-cultural animation in society.

Field of specialization: Eurhythmics
The graduate possess the skills of a qualified musician, teacher of music and cultural animation in music as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of teaching: general music classes in music schools of the first degree, general music classes in kindergartens and schools (including junior secondary school), music appreciation classes in kindergartens and non-school educational facilities; eurhythmics classes in music schools of the first degree; the graduate can lead vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental ensembles in amateur music movement, choreograph dance ensembles in cultural centers as well as perform music activities in cultural institutions and music-cultural animation in society.

Field of specialization: Church Music
The graduate possess the skills of a qualified musician, teacher of music and cultural animation in music as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of teaching: general music classes in music schools of the first degree, general music classes in kindergartens and schools (including junior secondary school), music appreciation classes in kindergartens and non-school educational facilities; the graduate can lead vocal, instrumental and vocal-instrumental ensembles in amateur music movement as well as perform music activities in cultural institutions and music-cultural animation in society. Also, the graduate can undertake activities connected with performing liturgical music within the Roman Catholic denomination working as an organist, cantor and animateur.

Field of study: Jazz and Popular Music

Field of specialization:

  • Jazz Instrumental Studies
  • Jazz Composition and Arrangement
  • Jazz Vocalism

The graduate is prepared for independent work as a soloist, member of instrumental and vocal-instrumental ensembles as well as composer and arranger of jazz and popular music. The graduate is prepared for: performing activities aimed at promoting jazz and popular music in cultural institutions; performing professional acoustic and recording services during cultural events, concerts, festivals and artistic projects within the field of jazz and popular music; conducting multimedia projects and working in education – after completing teaching specialization (according to educational standards dedicated to the teaching profession). The graduate should know a foreign language on a B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The graduate is able to start second cycle studies (master’s course).


Master of Arts (after completing a five-year master’s course or postgraduate master’s course)

Field of study: Arts Education in Music

The graduate possesses qualifications of a musician, arts education and music-cultural animation teacher as well as, depending on specialization completed, practical and theoretical knowledge of:

  • conducting ensembles in amateur music movement
  • conducting research and teaching activity in higher education facilities and teacher training institutions that offer Arts Education in Music or other music related fields of study
  • teaching classes in music schools, teaching arts education classes
  • conducting music activity in cultural institutions and media (TV, radio, film)
  • hosting and organizing festivals, competitions and music events as well as performing cultural animation in society

Field of specialization: Music Education and Multimedia
The graduate possesses qualifications of a musician, arts education and music-cultural animation teacher as well as, depending on specialization completed, practical and theoretical knowledge of:

  • teaching Arts Education with the use of dynamic audio-visual-presentations and techniques of registration and arrangement of pieces from school repertoire
  • teaching classes in music schools with the use of digital score elements and techniques of registration and arrangement of pieces from school repertoire
  • preparing interactive audio-visual music events for schools
  • managing websites in educational establishments
  • managing e-learning platforms
  • conducting music activity in specialized recording studios
  • sound realization and design
  • conducting music activity in cultural institutions and media (TV, radio, film)
  • conducting ensembles in amateur music movement
  • conducting research and teaching activity in higher education facilities and teacher training institutions that offer Arts Education in Music or other music related fields of study
  • hosting and organizing festivals, competitions and music events as well as performing cultural animation in society

Field of specialization: Cultural Animation with Components of Art Therapy
The graduate possesses the necessary knowledge and skills at promoting culture and using art therapy in educational activity.

The graduate is prepared to: perform independent artistic, research and organization work; undertake individual creative activity; work in cultural institutions and schools – after completing teaching specialization (according to educational standards dedicated to the teaching profession). The graduate can apply for third cycle studies (doctoral course).
