Consists
of good friends - Zbigniew KoŸlik and Krzysztof
Olczak, who have known each other for many
years.
Both
are graduates from the Warsaw Academy of Music. They made their
debut as a duo in 1982 giving a Polish premiere of Gesprach
mit einem Schatten by Zbigniew Bargielski. Musical conversations
were continued but limited only to contemporary chamber music.
Since 1994 they have
intesified their concert activity and enlarged their
repertory. It comprises favourites in their own transcriptions (e.g. Menuet
by Boccherini, Tambourin
by Rameau, Valse D flat major by
Chopin, Suite Gothique
by Boellmann, Claire de lune
by Debussy) and pieces written by renowned
Polish composers (Zbigniew Bargielski, Andrzej Krzanowski,
Stanis³aw Moryto). Apart from many recordings of new music,
Classical Accordion Duo hes recorded a casette A
due which contains the best of their repertory. Both the
quality of the transcription and
performance (a beautiful sense of style, brilliant technique,
vast array of articulation, preserving to details) attract to
listeners and satisfy concert audiences.
